Medea Vinarija, the winery

The distinctiveness of its different climates and landscapes plus indigenous varieties, hand in hand with people, are what make Istria one of the leading wine regions. Wine has been made here for many generations. The grapevines are Greek, then polished by the culture of the Roman Empire – all part of the region’s many deep traditions.

Situated in Vodnjan, we cultivate 60 hectares of land near Pula and Medulin. The vineyards are not far from the coast in a warm, Mediterranean climate which boasts an almost unbelievable 2,400 hours of annual sunshine on average.

As we are Istrians ourselves, the wines we offer are completely Istrian – they are all grown, processed, and nurtured here.
